I was just check to see what the widest tire size that can fit on stock tC rims. I went to a Scion meet and saw a kid with 245/45/17's on the stock rims and was wondering if you can fit wider tires without rubbing?
The stockers are 215/45/17 and the tires def don't have the slight bow that protects from curb rash like other car's i've seen.

 

Dunlop Dirrezza's have that same lip. I love having it there. Same with the Bridgestone Potenzas that came stock on my car. From what I hear, the higher end Potenzas are very good tires.

I'm running 215/45/17's on rims that are 8 inches wide.
