Default Work Emotion CR on tc?

anyone have those on their tc's.. preferbably in 17s.. question is how would it look.. is 17 a resonable size.. i have 18s on my xB and i kinda dont want that kind of set up anymore.. i want some meat in those tires.. and how about 17x7 with 215/45/17? hows the stretch.. rubbing?

if you guys have pics that would be awesome.. im getting my tc in a few weeks and im just planning out some ideas..

thanks

17x7 215/45/17 (which isn't stretched, it's standard, and won't rub) is the exact profile as stock, why would you possibly drop two GRAND on wheels for the same thing as stock? Name brand? Looks? Maybe losing weight? (notably the CR's aren't even forged, they're cast and weigh 20.2lbs in a 17x7, 3lbs under stock)

I haven't seen any pics of 17's in works CR's, and 17" aftermarket rims look too small for the TC unless you're going 17x8.5 +48 to run 245mm tire width.... yumm

a quick search would've answered your question, the guy got bombed for paying retail (2 grand) for wheels that looks like a painted brown stock wheel from more than 10 feet away.

personally for $500/wheel, I'd rather go with SSR Competitions since they're lighter (14.6lbs/wheel for 18x8" AMHIK) and look a hell of a lot better. Or if you want 5-spoke, SSR GT-2's which are about 16lbs/wheel.

Actually, I'd rather go with Enkei RPF1's in 17x8 +40 w/235's tires for the same price, or 5zigen FN01R-C in 17x8.5 +48 w/245's and again, for the same price as Work wheels alone.

If you hadn't noticed, I care more about performance than looks. I know you XB guys have a different perspective on that however.

EDIT: Oh, and did I mention, that if you check that guy's profile who has the Work emotion CR's that he has a pic there that says "Just got my TRD 5-Spoke Wheels, I like these better than my Work wheels" - Choosing TRD wheels over Work wheels, that's gotta tell you something

Im going to be getting 18" bronze Work Emotion's in a month or 2 here. Ill have plenty of pics when they come in. And theres no way that I would pay 2000 for them either, mine arent going to cost anywhere near that much.

hope you enjoy your 22lb wheels, even if they were selling for $300 each I still wouldn't buy them. There are many other choices in wheels out there for much cheaper that are FORGED.

i wouldnt mind seeing more pictures of those works in tc though!.. i just think they look pretty cool

Cheap forged choices? Or at least, more affordable? Please elaborate. I haven't found any relatively inexpensive and attractive forged wheels. The somewhat lightweight wheels I've been looking at are the FN01RCs but in 18x8, they're roughly stock weight. I wish I didn't care about looks because the RPF1s or even the RP03s in 17" are pretty light... But yea, if you got good forged choices please tell.

And the Works are nice but may as well get the Rota Torques. I don't see how they can sell for so expensive without being forged. Low pressure casting, ok, but Rota does that as well. They do have forged Emotions but I think they're either discontinued or special order only; I've seen them on open wheeled racers though so... yea.
