Default Anyone with the TRD Carbon fiber shorty antenna?

Anyone on here have this antenna?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-8-Black-Ca...503fdd&vxp=mtr

Its the TRD carbon fiber antenna, reason i wanna know if anyone has it is cause it lists at not compatible with the tC, yet comes with the 3 different size inserts, so i just wanna know before i go and buy it to find out it in fact doesn't fit.

I don't have one but I saw on some random forum that the plastic will fade easily.

I hope you know it is not genuine TRD nor is it carbon fibre.

Doesn't matter, long as it fits, considering I cant find the actual TRD one anywhere.

Dealerships are private. I saw a new tC at my local Scion dealership being sold as a new car but it had a Carbon fiber hood, aftermarket rims and body kit on it already. All I am saying is, a dealership can put anything on the vehicle that they want (as long as it is legal).

Well, the Rockwarrior was new, as it had 14 miles on it upon purchase. I have a good friend that works as a service tech at the dealership and said all of the Rockwarriors they sell come with them, and if I want that TRD antenna its $44 from them, which of course the reason I'm going online is well, quite obvious. lol

U sir were lied to.

or ur buddy was lied to that this "TRD antenna" is an official product and thus told u false information.

This is the offical Rock Warrior package "TRD Rock Warrior Package (Limited Grade 4x4 only) includes 17-in. split 6-spoke, gunmetal color-finished, TRD Rock Warrior forged alloy wheels with LT285/70R17 BFGoodrich® All-Terrain T/A tires, Bilstein® shock absorbers, fuel tank skid plates, and TRD Rock Warrior graphics."

No TRD carbon fiber antenna

Dealerships tend add eBay parts and lie to make an extra buck.

There was a guy on here that paid like 30k for a "Special Edition TRD tC"...all it had was a 5 Axis kit, TRD oil cap, XXR Wheels, and Custom eBay fog lights. (no actual TRD parts like struts or sways..maybe springs, MAYBE)

No one was lied to, he just said they all come with it, but I don't care if its an official TRD item, my question was if it fits or not, which no one still knows so I'm just gonna buy it and find out myself, don't really care if its "official" or not, I like the look of it regardless so I don't care if its an official TRD item or not.. don't even care if it says TRD, didn't know when I was first looking them up that there wasn't an actual one

that was my point...since its not an official TRD product, then all Road Warrior packaged Tundras DON'T come with it. maybe just all the ones at his dealership so they can make an additional sale/buck, but not all the ones sold everywhere.

but either way, good luck with the purchase/fitment

So... I've finally installed it. Now I'm getting very poor reception and it's inaudible.

Will have to check what's wrong and/or remove it.

We'll see tonight.

Of course you are getting poor reception...its because of everything that KJ, Dermals, and myself have been saying. Its cheap eBay crap so you are gonna get results that match. If you want a good shorty antenna then go to a dealer and get a genuine OEM antenna like S2K, CRV, RDX, etc.

at $8 it was a waste.

I preferred the style of the fake TRD one.

Now I know it doesn't work as expected.

End of story.
