Don't ground the wires at the engine. There are places behind the bumper where you can place the ballast. You can also ground it where you installed the ballast.

I decided to go buy a couple nuts and bolts and ground the wires to the frame. I found a nice area that keeps them out of the way and doesn't look cluttered. I took some pictures of where I put them and the ballasts (idea taken from another thread on here). The HID's look really nice, especially on really dark roads, I'm really glad I finally got them all installed.

Here's the two grounded wires, up in the top corners if you open to hood at look at it full scale.





Here's the two ballasts, tough to see, but they are there.





And then here's where I attached the relay on the front edge, right next to the driver side lights.
