You know, now that more people have these taillights, I feel like I can safely ask this question. Is there ANY WAY we can make the taillights brighter??? That seems to be the main complaint behind them, that the LED section does not produce enough light during the day. Can we simply swap it for a brighter bulb or what? Any lighting/electronic experts wanna take this question plz!
I know from experience (because I have them) that this is the only fault with this product. If we can remedy this, we'll save ourselves the hassle of buying another pair of taillights

I had my wife follow behind me after I put them in and she said that they were plenty bright. I even did a couple of panic stops in front of her, she said she could see them fine.
Of course if somebody wasnt paying attention then it would be a different story, but that can be said with any taillights.

Have you had any close calls?

I was thinking of buying these for my Classic Silver tC2! What color would you recommend for the silver tC? I know you have the smoked out Spec D's but your tC is maroon so it looks nice but which one would look best for a silver one? Also, you said the give plenty of light when stopping and turning but was that during the day or night when you went to test them out? I live in a particularly sunny place (South Texas) and wanted to know if they are pretty bright during the day.

personally I think smoked ones would look pretty good on a silver car, even better if you have tinted windows.
