when you dremeled the thinner sections like the "S" and "C" you should have used a cutting blade to the back of the letter it would have reduced damages to the outward appearances of them. and i suggest you get a kill switch for it or wire it to your dome light cause i've gotten pulled over for mine. lol btw do you happen to live in the Manhattan beach area i swear i've seen your car near that general area

Hella sweet bro. How long did it take you to do that? I was thinking about doing it for my tC1 rear trunk emblem but don't have the time think about it. I might recommend this to the tC2 owners in the Scion group I'm part of. They might be interested in trying out something like this.

Good job!

Thanks man... yeah I used a dremel, an xacto knife and a soldering iron. You cant tell the letters arent completely perfect though even if you are really close to it though if I get more time I might bondo it and smooth it out a little more. Also I do have a kill switch thats blue led as well in my comparent thing next to the driver but im still working on the switch box so I didnt wanna post pictures. But I hope I dont get pulled over, I appreciate tho.
Thanks bro, It took me a hell of a long time cause I wasnt sure where everything was going and whatnot probably 8 hours total. Everything is soldered, waterproofed, and the wires are hidden so it took a little longer. Go for it... if they do take some pics cause I wanna see

What did you use to waterproof it? I'm about to order another rear trunk emblem and decide if I want to hook it up to the brake lights or put it on a switch for when I'm parked. I'm going to order two trunk emblems just in case. Knowing my luck, I'm going to mess something up haha.

I sprayed liquid electrical tape and then heat shrunk the connection after soldering it. The best way I have ever known... I was thinking that would be cool I just havent tried to plan it out yet. How were you going to run the wires into the trunk?
Just take ur time man and you should be good...

How much were you going to sell the emblem for?

You know...I haven't gone that far into the planning. I just have the concept down and all that. I'll figure something out. I'm still deciding if I want it to light up when I brake or just connect it to a switch. Found out people in the scion group I'm in is actually working on something you did. But all day I've just been thinking about how to hook it up. I'll figure something out. Just like you said, take my time. Best way to do anything.
