Default License plate relocated on 2011 tC

Hey guys, I just wanted to show ya'll what i've done so far on my tC. I saw online that the license plate re-locator kit can be quite expensive so I thought I'd just do it myself with spare parts I had in my shop. I actually like the look but this is only temporary... I'm pretty sure I will be buying the REAL re-locator kit from ptuning.com some time in the future. It took me about an hour more so because I was wondering where to put it. I bought some LED DRL's and I'm just waiting for them to come in the mail so I also had that to consider. So, in the end i decided just to use my tow socket for my license plate.

Hope you guys like it!

The before picture. Wasn't really to show where the license plate used to be but i decided to post it anyway.

What i did was very cheaply done but it all holds together very well. I used on "L" bracket, a large screw that fit into the tow socket and heavy duty adhesive glue and some plastic ties for reinforcement. Yes, it probably wasn't the best way to do this but I wanted my tC to have new look before I get the ptuning kit and plus, you can't see the "cheap" job unless your looking for it. This was more or less how i did it. I DID NOT glue the license plate. It looks like i did but i didn't.

The glue was also not left all messy. I cleaned it up nicely

Hell, just take off bumper and bend the plate around the curve. Drill the two holes (or 4 if you wanna make it more secured) then hand screw it on.

That's what I did with my gen1! It's been on there for three years now: no problems.

Nah I like clean work, I don't want to drill more holes in the body

Yeah drilling is a no for me. But it looks a little bit high on the loc. Would look great i think if that could be in the middle bottom. Just my opinion.
