Default 2013 Information Please..

I have a 08 tC, and I'm thinking about up grading myself to a 13 tC.
I know the 1G had a problem with oil consumption, have they corrected the problem in a 13?
Are there any other Pros or Cons in a 13?

Thanks for your help.

Toyota's consumption recall was limited to 07, 08 and 09. I think the only 2013 recall involves TRD brake kits.

Manual tC2's have input shaft issues. Not a big deal but heads up

I've never heard of second generation tCs burning oil. For what it's worth, mine is a 2011 with 245,000km and doesn't burn a drop.

Must be nice. The first generation not only has small oil return holes, the oil rings are one piece instead of three.

Yep, stay with an auto if you want awesome reliability. I stayed away from the 6-speed manual because of all the issues people were having with whine and grind. And I really wanted a 6 speed...my 05 only have 5 and could have really used that long 6th.

It's actually not that long. The first 5 gears are shorter than the 5-speed and 6th gear is pretty tight off of 5th. It might go a couple of mph faster than the automatic.
