2014 tc cai
So looking around keep seeing people having cai problem on tc. Lot's of cel popping up. Injen seams to be most recommended solution, but I here it tricks the maf to make it work. See the aem electronically tuned intakes that are supposed to be a proper fix for this issue. Aem also has grey which matches my car. Anyone using these. Seams sketchy to use aem sensor to trick the maf sensor on such an important part of the vehicle (a/f ratio). Anyone using one for extended period without issue or with issue would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
The day AEM makes something that "tricks" a car or makes something sketchy, is the day I give up on aftermarket brands. They even specifically say that they are NOT tricking the MAF and that the "other guys" are. The other guys tube design is what is trying to trick the MAF and no one can get it right. The sensor is electronically adjusted to read proper air density. They got this.
But yes, you are right. There are a lot of issues with CEL's with the tC2's and CAI. It's sad.

So is aem electronically controlled cai the solution to all these issues ? You'd think a lot more people would be using them since it's Aparently a proper fix. Can hardly find anybody through my searches. Mostly injen. Or ram intakes.
Russian, what's the code the ETI is throwing?
And you don't get more power out of a CAI opposed to a SRI anyways in these cars. It's all in your head. So just go with an SRI and you'll have zero issues.

Don't remember the exact code but it was running lean, bank 1.
