Default Altering the power band - Worth it?

I've been doing a little reading into a unichip system for my tC2. I know it won't give a significant amount of power, but I did read that an ecu tune/chip on an N/A car can lead to an increased power band. Has anybody done this or can anybody direct me to a thread where this has been discussed?

Doing something like this should increase the car's rate of acceleration / drop the 0-60 time, right?

May I ask why you removed it?

Upgraded to a turbo w/ 310hp lol I'm pulling the turbo off because I can't afford a 3rd trans but the unichip worked pretty well.
