What are you trying to push? I have a JL 500/1v2 pushing a JL 12w6v2. Running stock alternator and no capacitor (not that they do much anyway). I get no issues with interior lights dimming or anything. This car's electrical system can handle much more without even breaking a sweat.

Hmmm it sounds like something fishy is going on. I had a 94 Taurus back in my college days with an unmodified electrical system. I had an MTX amp putting down 950w RMS according to the birth sheet and it was powering a JL 12W7. I also had an alpine amp with 65w x 4. So that is over 1200w without problems (other than slightly dimming headlights when the bass hit). I have to imagine the electrical system on this car has to be much more tolerant.
