well everyone has the injen CAI cause it is awesome and it is 2 intakes in one.. meaning you can do cold air and then short ram when you want. plus never heard of any issues (aside from the lower mount being too soft) on them along with you can find it about $200 new. but each intake are the same. Bigger pipe help suck in more air. some that make the CEL come on is cause it rattles the MAF sensor.

It's a great intake don't get me wrong, I know it can be either a CAI or SRI, but I wanted to try something different, I almost got the injen and the prices were pretty much the same so why not give something different a try

I have the Descendant Intake (:

best intake ever. does both CAI and SRI. inexpensive. simple. clean. no cel. oh and it's pretty much different than most because they discontinued it.

Sent an email like a week ago to aem asking about their newest revision of their tc2 intake. Since its like the third one they've made and I wanted to see if it solves the cel issue people were getting with the original and the piggy back version. No reply. Awesome.

I emailed aem again a couple weeks ago and they finally answered. Said they gaurantee there will be no cel issues. They didn't comment on the previous versions having issues but a big company will never admit they were wrong. I don't see the point. Buy the trd intake snorkel and high flow filter for under $100 and ur golden.

HPS in my opinion HPS has the best craftsmanship/fit and finish. I mean they use T Clamps/couplers. They're known for their turbo hosing or piping.

Yea I've heard good things about them but I have seen anyone rock one of their intakes for our gen unless I'm looking in the wrong thread.... Well let's see how it goes I ordered mine and should be here tomorrow...

BAMPLAYA32 Reason why I didn't get it was that it wasn't available yet for our car and I bought a Descendant intake instead. If it was available I would've bought. I loved the quality fit and finish that most companies cant compete with

I guess it depends on where you live and the weather yo get there. But let me put it to you this way. I live in washington where it rains a lot. I've driven through storms with no problem. But i also hear about guys hydrolocking in places where it's not known for rain. Oh yeah i cold air intake too.

They sent out a gasket for the MAF sensor. Since then, I cannot clear the code out of my car. I called them this morning and talked with Steve. He talked with his research and development team, who said, send it back. They are having multiple issues with the intakes, and are stopping sale of anymore of the intakes from their factory. Just thought I would pass on the information to anyone else.
Do you know if they're still having this issue? I just got a 2014 brand new and am looking to put a CAI in but saw this now I'm kind of worried =/

yeah man they're still having the issue, i got one not too long ago and it consistently kept throwing a light so i got a K&N and there was an issue with it and K&N replaced it with the AEM cold air intake and they fixed the problems it was having when it first came out, i got one that was made literally 4 days before it arrived at my door as by the date on the box and "knock on wood" i haven't had a problem ever since, definitely love the way it looks and the way it sounds, definitely makes my exhaust a lot throatier and throttle response better

Been debating between the K&N or AEM, I can get the K&N for dirt cheap at a local dealer with the shop discount, but AEM would be special order and quite a bit more. At the same time though I like the look of the Ingen intake better.... oh, decisions decisions.

I've got the Injen CAI with a by-pass valve (I live in New England and definitely need it) and I love it. Sounds nasty and, although it might not be a big improvement you can absolutely feel the power gain.
