Is it worth it to spend almost $5000 on the Dezod Turbo kit for the 11+ tC's?
It doesn't seem to add a lot of horse power for the money being spent.

100hp+ isn't a big increase?
Wtf are you talking about ? U realize stock wheel horsepower is like 130-140 and from dyno I've seen on this site with dezod kit is close to 300. Likely right around 300 with the right exhaust. It at least doubles your horsepower. I'm going ptuning in likely a year or so once my motor is worked in a bit and I get some cash saved up. Haven't looked into the dezod as much but I've heard the ptuning doesn't "need" a tune it's just recommended. Which means I can at least drive it to get tuned lol. Not sure if you can with the dezod. I love the dezod header tho. So bad ___ looking.
tC2's put down more than 140hp at the wheel, but not much.
It depends on the bolt-ons ad whether it is an auto or not.

^You will want to tune it. You will get a base tune to get you driving around, but by no means is that suppose to be what you use to drive hard with.

I said stock. Not with bolt ons. It may be a bit more but you may be right. If u do all bolt on that's at least $1000 you could put towards Turbo. Highest I've seen with bolt ons is still well under 200 horse. Seen tons of Dezod dynos over 300. I want a Turbo kit so bad. I do wish cams were made for our motors tho. Be nice to get around 200 or more at the wheel without Turbo.Originally Posted by russiankid

Even stock its a little more than that. Some people prefer N/A, some turbo. I'd like more power, but with the amount of driving I do, a turbo will only add extra worry as with any forced induction car, more things are prone to failure.Originally Posted by HOODedDutchman

Then you are in good hands. I installed my PTuning Spec RS system, got a map from Toan to get it started up, then drove 11hrs to PTuning to get tuned. Laid down 330whp and drove 11hrs back home. Stock engine. Now my Built engine is sitting at PTuning all done up, and I'm about to drive up to go get it.

Do you have a better idea? Turbo'ing an N/A motor is always big money. Look at a turbo kit for any other car, you're looking at the same price tag. You want power, you need to pay. So yeah, of course it's worth it. You're aren't making any more power without it. Otherwise get a screwdrive and a hammer and make your own kit. Originally Posted by CementTC13

ANY kit running the FIC will need to be fine tuned because the unit can not correct for altitude variance, temp variance, octane used etc. So, with that being said, you will ALWAYS want a retune from the base cal provided. Originally Posted by rhythmnsmoke

Travis is right.....

Yeah. If you want serious power, you're going to have to pay for it. Realistically, turbo is the best return on dollars spent for power. Our kit bolts on 9 PSI and cranks about 280-300whp without a sweat even on stock exhaust. Add a free flowing exhaust and a few more pounds of boost and you're well into the 300s. A current promo going involving our kit.

Lastly, I just want to say that this kit just BEGINS to breathe at 10-12 PSI. Why do I say that? Because at 12.5 PSI recently on our kit with our AEM EMS, a customer made 345whp.

Otherwise, on the base kit, with the AEM FIC and stock exhaust on a 6 speed, you can expect about 285whp.

Add our 3" and watch power jump to 320+whp.

So does your kit come with a baseline setup just like the ptuning ?

Yes sir. That would be almost criminal to not do so.Originally Posted by HOODedDutchman
