Default Drivers side noise when releasing clutch on takeoff

Hey, I just a 2012 tC with 40k miles and just noticed a noise when releasing the clutch in first gear when taking off.

It's kind of a whirring noise only heard on the driver's side. Maybe near the pedal. Any ideas? I hope it's not a throw out bearing.

You should hope it is the TOB, simplest and cheapest fix compared to the other known 11-13 tranny issues lol.

Seemed to go away and I didn't hear it on my ride home from work. It certainly felt fine.
