Hope the SRI doesn't throw me a code. If it does not disable anything though I guess it doesn't matter? I can swap it out for inspection.

Even with the eliminator. I'll try and move it when I get home to see if that works..

so no update cant be too good...
but I was curious since I had a quick theory.
Peeps with the CEL coming on using the Headers... has anyone checked the code/codes the ECU is throwing? ->[with and without CEL eliminator]
Some have said there are differences in the intake setup contributing.
My theory is the Heat. Those with race headers aren't using the heat shield so in that alone indicates higher temps under the hood. Some say CAI keeps it from coming on.. SRI pulls from closer to the header.. follow me?
I understand that the eliminator is supposed to alleviate emissions signals.. so I'm thinkn the temp of the air is causing the CEL. Can anyone test this?

You shouldn't get a check engine light since you order a cel fix.

so i think i know why i have my CEL from the header and its because i have the SRI. ive talked to 2 other guys that have the weapon r header and are both running with CAI and the eliminator of coarse and dont have any CELs. so for those that want to get the weapon r header. your going to need a CAI as well as the CEL eliminator so you dont have any CELs. my descendant CAI i ordered today and will be installed next week!

Jtk2.. Why don't you take ur car to a place that checks the code for your CEL? If the real issue is identified.. Steps may be taken to correct the issue and keep SRI

I could.. I'm sure it's like what you were talking about in one of you previous post about the header and not having a heat shield on it. So it's just easier instead of tryin to fix the problem. To just add a cold air intake that has no problems. Colder is better anyway right

True. But i'm the type that has to know why things work or don't. Plus my intake is stock plus k&n drop in and ram air tube through fog vent. In theory mine should work like cai as long as the prob is air temp

Any updates on this header? I'd love to know if the CEL problem has been resolved, especially because very soon a new catted header will come into the market as competion for this one!

CEL fixed? Still a problem?

Did anyone actually get the code from the CEL?

I will be home on the 6th looking to install my new cai shortly after my arrival. And I will test it out to see if the cel has been fixed. And no I did not see what kind of code it was throwing.

I justed purchased this header w/CEL eliminator en love it, it made the stock exhaust sound more meaty lol, bt afta 4k or so it has a lil rasp maybe because of the vvt-i? Well i had injen sri en had a friend check the temp en was 142 degrees at a stand still yikes, bt converted it back to cai anyways i bought this header becuz it eliminated the cat, no cat = more flow en dezod was too expensive and it had a cat AANND it look like the stock header wit bigger pipings, im just wondering how come they never made a true 4-2-1 with our cars like the tc1 has??
