Painted Header Cover
Didn't see a thread for painted parts, this may not belong here, but I just wanted to post these in it helps someone decide if they want to do it.
Used VHT engine burnt copper paint. 3 coats about 15 minute intervals. I did not use clear coat on this piece.
Unpainted, One coat wet, two coats wet, three coats wet, and three coats dry.

So Just as an update. To anyone thinking about this I highly recommend doing a few layers of Clear Coat. I originally thought it would create more problems than it would solve but without it the paint started peeling, not fun. Redid it and clear coated it heavily
So, Just to clear things up. You are not chipping yet? Mine chipped horribly, I had to get it sandblasted it was so bad. I think I may try again. 3 Coats Paint, 3 Coats Clear? Any last minute tips?
The good news is that since mine is sandblasted, it's already rough and I don't have to sand...just degrease it.
