So, Just to clear things up. You are not chipping yet? Mine chipped horribly, I had to get it sandblasted it was so bad. I think I may try again. 3 Coats Paint, 3 Coats Clear? Any last minute tips?
The good news is that since mine is sandblasted, it's already rough and I don't have to sand...just degrease it.

Then air cure for a week. Then bake in a oven *200 degrees for a hour. Finished with 3 coats of VHT Clear Coat.
Mine haven't chipped but, haven't had them on that long.
