Testing is now well underway!

We have the Cable Bushings installed as well as the Base Bushings and, great news, the same bushings as the first generation tC fits the 2011! We'll add these bushings applications to our site very soon!

We are also getting a new shifter prototype machined today, we'll update you guys when we have more details on it!

Updates:

It was a great two days of testing on the 2011 tC here at TWM Performance! As mentioned before, we have the cable bushings and base bushings ready for the car and today we worked on the short shifter itself.

The prototype is very good and apart from a few technical details to change, it's very close to what the final product will be! Here is a teaser picture of the shift throw with the short shifter prototype installed in the car. We're talking of a throw reduction of about 30%, height reduction of approximately 1" and a slightly relocated neutral position, exactly what the car needed in our opinion!



And in comparison, the stock throw:



More details in the next few weeks, we're looking at a product launch and pre-order offer very soon!

yes it does look great!

 

It also feels really great, went for another test drive this morning and it really gives a much needed touch to the car. I already liked the new tC very much when first driving it, but the short shifter definitely adds a sports car feeling to it!

Here's a picture of the solid bronzoil cable bushings installed in the 2011 tC:



These are a good upgrade to give more precision to the shifts, even on the stock shifter.

Just an update for everyone sitting here patiently reading, but I just received word from the guys at TWM that they anticipate to have this product out very shortly. As proof, I will be testing and reviewing one of the prototype units next week.
