ah i see, cool.

@1stOne: Since you got the test version of the short shifter, could you possibly list the tools needed for the short shifter install? I'm assuming mine will be coming in early next week and I want to have the tools ready to install since I don't have tools immediately available to me. Or if you could post a copy of the installation manual you got, that would be very useful. The link on twm's website for the installation manual is a dead link still.

Thanks,
Donald

I'll have to see where I put the instruction sheet, but from the top of my head, you'll need the basics such as a simple socket set and small extension, a slotted screwdriver (with a very sharp point) and a hammer and punch (or a small screwdriver to be used as a punch). Oh, and to remove the stock interior pieces, you need to use a phillips screwdriver.

Really, its best to have a simple metric socket set and set of basic screwdrivers. Your local hardware store will have these for no more than $50 for both sets and they will be useful to you with other mods.

If you don't have a sharp screw driver, you will need a dremel with a cutting wheel to remove the push nut which holds the stock shifter assembly together. I suggest the dremel as the screwdriver will just make a mess of things. And since you are cutting metal and plastic in the car, probably best to have a large shop blanket with you that you can drape over the interior.

Does that help a little?

I would have had a video of mine, but I didn't have my car for the install...

Its pretty straight forward though as you'll see when it arrives. The instructions provided are very accurate and to the point. Simple hand tools, a dremel and your all set. Just take your time and its cake.

Bah!!! I'll be seriously frustrated if I'm not first. I ordered mine within like a day of them posting it.

Edit: Guess I should add that if I'm not the first, at least someone else will have worked out the install kinks.

Unfortunately we had a backup with the production. We're looking at shipping everything out next week. Sorry for the delay guys, but we're working as fast as we can!
