With a CAI there is no snorkel. You remove that when you install the CAI.

I think you used the wrong term? If you have a CAI (cold air intake), then you certainly removed the stock snorkel because a CAI replaces the whole factory assembly. Could you please elaborate on what you ment?

How would u have a snorkel and a CAI simultaneously? Unless your talking about a water drainage valve but TCs don't have those stock....

i removed the snorkel off my tC this weekend and omg it sounds a lot better! the exhaust a lot throatier, i mean i have a K&N drop in and with that it made the exhaust a little throatier but without the snorkel it sounds a lot louder and just like the trd exhaust, maybe just as loud! and the intake sounds amazing too when you get on it, im definitely going to leave it off

Default Snorkel removal

Spoke to the dealer and they said that removing a snorkel may throw a check engine light because of the amount of air going though the box. Has anyone experienced that.

Thanks

I drove without the snorkel for a few months and it never gave me a CEL

Did you notice any difference (power/sound)?

The engine bay gets pretty hot, so I would think having the snorkel on would actually be perform better.

this is true, but its not much different than people spending money on an SRI intake. There wont be any gains on removing the snorkel besides sound.
