Default ZeroEyeQueue's tC Turbo (work in progress)

Received first two boxes of the "Bolt On and Go" tC2 Descendant Turbo Kit. I'm anxiously awaiting the next couple shipments of the actual Turbo, AEM FIC, wiring harness, injectors and Exhaust.

For some reason, I was expecting a front mount intercooler. However, I'm still digging the stealthy sidemount. I can probably fab some piping and mounting brackets for a front mount. So, until then, this will be just fine.

Here's what came in today. I'll keep things updated as I get shipments in and start putting things on:

Need to flip that image. :/

I think that they said previously that they had a front mount option...

Yea that's the bad thing a side mount. Maybe the should have like a drop down menu so you can choose side mount or front mount. Their is plenty of room upfront for one. But I'm def going to be eyeing this thread. I have a import vs domestic @ maryland international raceway in november, so by then I'm going to be boosted. But for now mid 14's n/a is my goal with bolt ons, hankook rs3's a tune and weight reduction...

@mdi nah no youtube channel. I'll make sure to check yours out. I called Kareem @ descendant and he said they offer the front mount to those that come to the shop or something, and is going to check with Rob on it.

I'm pretty much going to send this one back and get the front mount.

Scratch that. I'm keeping the side mount. According to Descendant, the front mount is available, but, it does take some fab done to mount it. The pics shown on that thread were from Chris Rado's personal tC2. They had to shave into the front bumper, do some cutting and fab some mounting brackets. The cool thing is that Rob said he would work with me and send me the front mount with some more piping, if I wanted to send the side mount back. Kareem said they were changing the description on the world motorsports website as we were talking on the phone to avoid further confusion, heh.

Which is all fine, but the side mount has a higher efficiency rating (double the thickness of the core), and the same power rating. With their v-band turbo (55mm from the site 57mm from what Kareem said on the phone), the side mount will support up to 420ish hp. Since I know I'll be no where near that and there won't be any significant power or cooling increases, this, again, will suffice.

Updates and pics as soon as I get the other half of the kit in. Hopefully I can get this installed by mid-June.

Yea the side mount also gives it a sleeper look. The xb2 has gills on the bumper where I can see it using a side mount intercooler. I guess it would mount under the drivers side headlight or around their. As long as you put some videos up that's all that matters.

Funny you should mention that. I've been talking to an AEM rep about that. They have a universal kit for it. I'm going to see how well things run with just the kit from descendant. Though, I've heard good things about the water/methanol system from AEM.

This will come later. Definitely replacing the clutch first. ACT has an application for the tC2, although, it isn't listed on their site. You can either call them about it or talk to the guys at descendant.

Sorry about adding to confusion. I just knew that I had seen that they were offering a front mount, which just looks damn sexy. Gl with the build...

What is the part number for the clutch? I only know of "OS Giken" has a prototype clutch. I tried clutchmasters, but they need a test car. I need a clutch to match my quickshifter.
