$700 dollar head unit. Checked it on Sonic. If your going to spend that much on it and are not sure about the installation I wouldn't take any chance and let a professional installer do it. Especially since your going to have to bypass and work with the factory wiring. I was going to setup my 2 amps but decided to let an installer do it instead, they didn't charge that much and did an excellent job in a 1/4 of the time it would have taken me and gave me a lifetime warranty on the wiring.

Since your buying a brand new car you don't want to take a chance of having something go wrong with the car or an expensive head unit.

Wait you seen it or used it? Lol, thats a big difference.
I really want one cause I want an upgrade and use stock wires and steering controls. Ease of installation.

I hear alot of users here say they dont like it. I also believe they just say that cause they like to hate things that are so expensive from the dealer. Mostly obsessed A/V freaks.

It will fit no problem, you just need to buy some things for it to be just plug and play so you dont have tap into the factory harness. There are harnesses for the HU and for the steering wheel buttons, and you also might want to add on to your HU a bypass for the parking brake signal to be overrode so you can play vids while running.

Here's a thread that might help you and there's a few more threads around too...

The regular ___ pioneer I got with my 2012 is pretty good with 12 inch mtx sub once you figure out how to get the settings right. Honestly it took me a couple of months to get it but I love it now. On iPod mode I have the bass on negative 5 and the sub at 0 and it booms. Before I turned the bass down it sounded soo crappy, I was ready to upgrade the h.u. too and I'm so happy I saved the money and my steering controls. If you don't wanna spend out the ___ on a factory upgrade I would suggest giving this a shot.

remember you don't lose your steering controls, that's why you have to buy the ASWC kit from metra. That will let you keep the controls on basically every aftermarket HU. Search on older threads as I mentioned that are here in Interior forum and you'll see.

So other than a factory upgraded head unit, what would you guys say is a good head unit that is compatible with the factory wiring, steering wheel controls, bluetooth, etc. and has a decent price??

I'm pretty sure you will need the steering wheel control adapter for any aftermarket radio on the tC. I'm getting the x940bt as well. I already bought everything I need for it, just waiting until my next paycheck the unit itself. Just bought a tC RS 8.0, so money's a little tight haha. Some of the guys at my job are installing it and they're gonna try to wire the new USB and AUX to where the stock ones are. If not, it's no big deal either.

Hello,

I have a Tc 2nd Gen and I also have the X940BT installed. I did lots of research before I purchased the unit and I must say it's a great investment. The GPS responded great with pioneer own GPS software. I did not upgrade my speakers but there were noticable difference in sound quality after the install.
Few things you might need like Flippi said you will need the steering wheel control...

In my case I purchased the following parts for the install.

Pac Audio (part# SWI-PS) for steering wheel control
Wiring Harness (part# 70-1761) for Toyota/Scion
Scosche Antenna Adapter (part# LSAAB) for antenna install
Scion Double Din Car Stereo Mounting Installation Kit (Part#TTR-992)

Hope it works for you!

Well I was looking for someone disparate to sell it. But I have since been talked out of buying one.
I was looking to pay upwards of $350 but am no longer considering that price.
I want a touchscreen without the hassle of getting the OEM AUX and Steering Controls to work, and BeSpoke will be plug and play. Its still in the back of my mind, but just not willing to pay that much anymore.

But hell if it's just collecting dust hit me up.
