i was wondering if there was a way to make the 12v cig lighter outlet always hot so i could keep my phone plugged in even when my car is off has anyone done this or would you attempt this thanks (i know some about car electrical and alot about house hold)

 

I've been planning on figuring out something to fix this myself. I was waiting until i did my illuminated door sill install so I could access the wires easier. If no one else has done anything I'll let you know this weekend when I do them.

 

Positive wire to the battery, negative to a ground... always on...

 

Wellesley that is what I was going to do but I want sure what that dos to the warranty

 

Put a fuse on it...if something happens switch it back to the way it was and no one will know... but nothing will happen and no one will notice...

 

i miss having 2 outlets like the TC1 had, i was thinking about leaving the original alone and then installing a new one thats always on.
