Door sills
Is there a way to install the illuminated door sills without the interior light control kit? I was given a set of oem illuminated door sills but they require the light kit that I can’t find since the kit has been discontinued.
If the sills have wiring then you can connect them to a circuit to power them, just will have to splice them in. Run them direct to the battery as a test to see if they'll light up - if they do, then all you need to do is connect them to a power source that behaves how you want.

If they're RGB you might need the controller to configure them. I didn't realize they were. I would think you would still be able to power them by removing the connector and figuring out which wires are used for power, but no idea if they will actually light up without the brain.
Did you ever think about using the 2nd gen Xb light control kit, I think some places still have it in stock, I got one of the (then) few remaining 2nd gen Tc control kits, from what I see the only difference between the two is the Tc has a mounting bracket; I had mine installed at a Toyota dealer, they were supposed to use the bracket to mount the controller behind the kick panel, but the dealer hooked it up ghetto by just throwing it under the dash zip tied to some of the wiring. someone's tried to steal it twice, and both times I had to go back to the dealer to get the lights to work again.
