Default IOS7 problems with head unit.

After updating to IOS7 on my phone, I can't skip songs or pause/play when listening in my car. This is whether I am using Bluetooth or plugging directly in. It also doesn't matter which app I use. Pandora, Music etc. this is super frustrating. Anyone else having this problem. I have the 2012 Premium head unit.

With a combination of unpairing, repairing, defaulting bluetooth settings and rebooting my phone, I was able to get it working again. This may be a non-issue.

This happened to me too. It somehow fixed itself. I think I disconnected the Bluetooth like 2wice and it finally worked

My iPhone 5 has the same issue since the iOS7 install. Mine will work with the controls most of the time, then randomly no let me use the steering wheel controls or the headunit controls, only by manually skipping the songs on the phone does it work. Very frustrating, considering that I have had the radio replaced on he car once for an issue that I am still having with it.

For those who have an aftermarket radio installed, what was the reason behind the new unit, and what units are you running now? I am looking to get rid of this POS unit in mine.

Default IOS7 problems with head unit.

I think the problem is with the iOS not the head unit. My phone won't allow me to change my songs from the lock screen, so i think the problem is from the phone

Yeah the problem was with the iOS. I tried the whole turning off Bluetooth on and off and nothing. This morning they release an update to the iOS called 7.03 and walla all controls on my steering wheel and head unit work again. Try that out.

yeah I was happy they fixed this...such a minor thing but defeats the purpose of the ipod control function of the headunit
