Passenger Seat Rattle tC2
Has anyone else noticed an annoying rattle coming from the passenger seat in the tC2 when it is empty? It seems to be coming from the reclining mechanism.
Anyone know how to fix this?

I've tried the headrest thing. It makes no difference. The only thing that appears to stop it is reclining the seat WAY back. I've asked the dealer about it, and they can't seem to figure it out, either. Something in that reclining mechanism seems to be loose. Of course, it doesn't happen when someone is sitting in that seat, for whatever reason.
unfortunately, I think its just our cars. They are economy vehicles after all. I get rattling all the time, whether it is the dash, the door panel, the chair, or something in the back.
I think the only solution is that we all buy BMW's haha

20 hours of wrk I've eliminated majority of everything with stinger road kill and raamaudio Ensolite.
it's just the seat vibrating and shaking back and forth. hit the back portion slightly and see. the dealer will do nothing about it because they think it's normal (DUH). so the above is one of the best options ^^^ by FreedomPenguin
The noise is coming from the plastic covers which cover the rear bolts that hold the seats to the floor. The seat track contacts the covers giving the rattle noise. Remove the plastic covers from the rear bolts and it goes away completely. There is no fix from Toyota for it.
