I recently purchased a 2012 Scion TC. When I am at speeds above 50 (the sound is more apparent on the interstate) when I press on the gas pedal, I get one click, and then in about 1.5-2sec I get another click and then it doesn't do it again until I release the gas pedal almost like there is something engaging and disengaging. Its not like a CV joint click, it sounds like it is coming from the inside of the cabin and it not relative to the steering only when I press the gas pedal. Any suggestions as to what this might be would be greatly appreicated. It doesn't affect the performance of the car or anything, it is just more of an annoyance.

 

I too have noticed the clicking but it never did it when I first bought the car..... no luck finding out what the noise is coming from
