Agent 99 (Retirement)
For as long as you have been racing, I'd say you are way ahead of the curve. Top 3 finishes are defintely something to proud of. I know there is nothing like pulling in that 1st place position though. Wish my dam work computers would let me watch the vids!
@Donald: Yeah, it's a nice, big lot, but this course was long even for us. The course had a few quirks (cars getting kinda close to each other), but was fun.
@Chris: I've never seen a course generate more DNFs as this one did. From deciding which way to turn at one point to the almost straight aways with 90% turns right after, this course was tricky. But it was fun and let you get more speed than normal while still being a relatively long course.
This wasn't the final design. After setting it up, they decided to change it some (not sure why), but this is the basic design.

I must ask, Wouldn't it be faster to keep a straighter line through the "S" turns?
I changed the diagram a bit to show what I mean. I changed the top part. Excuse the crappy photoshopping
Edit: Never mind. I was looking just at the track Diagram and had not looked at the video yet. There was not enough room to go straight through and you kept a good line.

Congrats on the progress! I think you've officially got more seat time in the tC2 than I do now!
Picking up time is the most important thing. Placing is next. If you can close the gap on other drivers, you'll eventually find the top of your class.
Lovin the videos. Look forward to more.
FYI, I hate that you have that beautiful view where you are! Extremely jealous!

Haha, you and MANY drivers on the course!
You are correct. The straighter the line, the better, but I didn't actually draw anything on the map. That's the picture the designer posted to give drivers an idea of what's to come.
Two reasons. 1. I believed (and still do) that bracing up the rear of the car is more important than the front for the tC2. I will eventually get a front brace. 2. It's blue and my color scheme is red. Tanabe has a red brace for like $110. Why pay more for a brace I'd have to paint?
Thanks! I'm still really enjoying racing the tC2 and I think it has way more potential than most people give it credit. Besides tires, I need to invest in a good race driving class. As much driving training as I've had, very little helps on the track. I have the BEST PAX in the SCCA and I'm dying to use it to my benefit!

dang no wonder it seemed so long, they put u through a loop in the beginning haha. btw assuming that your SCCA season just started up, did they implement the new way of sorting the ST classes? (STF/STC) http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...ry_reduced.pdf on page 181
Donald,
Yes, new PAX adjustments were posted about a week before the first race of the season and draft versions of the rules were posted about 3 days before the first race.
I'm running in STF. Thing that surprised me is that STF actually has a better PAX than HS. Go figure!

Haha, I didn't think about this becoming a "guess what Paul's getting" moment, but I suppose I should have... Well, I have good news and bad news for you all.
Good News: I'll tell you what that's a picture of.
Bad News: It won't help you know what I'm getting!
It's actually a picture of a hood scoop for a Honda Fit or Mini Cooper (I don't remember which). I posted it because it's made of the same material the items I'm getting are made of. Red Carbon Fiber. I thought I cropped down the picture enough people wouldn't get too many ideas, but I guess I was wrong. I'm very excited and will post pictures as soon as I get said items installed.
They'll be for sale as soon as I get some pictures back to Rogue Se7ens. Available in traditional grey, red, orange or yellow CF. Also hoping to get some more items in work next week! Good stuff is coming!!!
