Thanks all! And, yes, it was 1 can per wheel. I had a little left over from each can but they started spraying weird at the end and I already had 5 coats so I just stopped.
And I know the wheels looked crazy sunken in a bunch of the pics I took. Must have been the time of day. I may add spacers...

pretty much a spray-on rubberized coating. it's temporary and can be peeled off. look up youtube videos and try googling 'plastidip wheel' it comes in 6 different colors, white, red, blue, black, clear... don't remember the 6th..
That's why so many of us have used plasti-dip (it's a brand name like Coca-Cola, Kodak, or 3M). Google it, like donsun said, and you'll find pictures of people peeling it off their wheels.
And I used black without anything on top. The others used the black and then used regular paint on top of the plast-dip.

yes. but put atleast 3-4 layers down/wheel or even better use 1 can/wheel because if it's too thin you'll have a harder time peeling it off. the color mightyP used is black and I think it's the only one readily available in hardware stores (home depot, lowes, etc..) other colors you may have to search for online.

yeah it'll look good. i plasti-dipped my wheels as well. i was slightly tempted to stop at flat black but i went over it with 'grabber green' and ended up with green wheels on my cement tC.

^ And your wheels look great, donsun!
steven, I couldn't find them at Lowes. Home Depot has them. And I used 1 can per wheel, as in each can was dedicated to a wheel, so I knew each wheel had a full can. And I'm sure it'll look great. Cement is a great color because it's so neutral you can add just about any color to it.

yep. the only prep work will be to clean the wheel beforehand and dry it. i would recommend masking off the barrel of the wheel and you can use index cards to mask the tire (check mospeedtc's build thread) start with a 1st light coat then do the rest in medium coats with 30 min intervals in between each coat. the can i believe says wait 4 hours for it to set so i'd do that or even better let it sit overnight. that should be it and i think we took enough of mightyp's thread for off-topic conversation.
Mighty p ur car looks great man keep it up im hoping i will paint mine tomorrow. how long did u wait until you put them on?? you got the black rubber coating spray?? @donsun ur car looks great too. its time for me to do something to my car its been a month since ive had it
