Any problems with your tC2?
Just hit 15k, manual tranny still sucks monkey butt in cold weather. 1st and 2nd are pita if it is 40F or lower outside. In 65F+ weather it is a completely different car, no issues. I am going to bring it up at my 15k service. Worst manual tranny I have owned in 20+ years of driving.
@ProjectMayhem, several of us OG's noticed the paint is easy to chip at first. I swear it gets tougher with age. After 6 months or so the paint stopped chipping under normal conditions. I still avoid bad roads and tailgaiting at all costs though.
I installed my own S-tech's, just checked them the other day. Struts are nice and tight, springs clocked properly, upper bearings seem fine. I get the occasional groaning or creaking sound from all 4 corners, especially in the colder weather.
No sunroof noises for me except the cheap flappy cover. I hardly ever use it because I don't like them. Maybe why mine is quiet for the most part?!
Guys this is just a cheap car, it is going to make noises period. Install a subwoofer, it drowns out all the cheap noises just fine.

Weird, so could it be that the reason for my clunking sound in the rear be from the springs being installed upside down? Could you possibly post a picture of how yours looks right now?
I had the dealer install mine when I bought the car. The rear springs weren't oriented properly. The rear suspension uses a-arms so the springs are tapered (ie: taller on the outside than the inside). If they are not oriented properly the coils bind and slap against each other. I took mine back, showed them their error in the instructions and the noise is gone.
well my car has the soft rattle on the sun roof on the passenger side and don't know if this happens to someone else but when the car is parked for a long time and i start it up its has a rattle like the lifters chargin but only for seconds, does anyone here have the same noise on cold start-ups?.

Oh, I ment the sunroof rattle. I don't hear a start up noise over my exhaust and the fact that my last car was a POS. This car could be falling apart and I would think it was smooth as butter compaired to my last one. As far as the sunroof goes, it can be fixed with some arts and crafts self adhesive foam. It has been talked about in another thread on here.

In may case, TC'11, bought new, now 34K miles on it:
moonroof clanking shows up when driving over road imperfections at low speed.
dealer's looked at it, and concluded it's primarily from little flapper that pops up in front of the roof opening. flapper' frame's hanging loose, and it's clanking.
happy motoring, Victor

Since I last posted, I've taken my car back to the dealership a few times (I think, at this point, that I should move into the showroom). My door panel rattles only got worse after each fix (by replacing the panel with the window switch and surrounding it with foam). Finally, they told me they were going to order entirely new door panels. So far, so good. After that, I got out of the car and locked it, only to discover it wasn't making its usual beep. I finally figured out the passenger's door lock wasn't locking. The dealership ordered and replaced the actuator. So far, so good.
This will likely be my last Scion. Yes, they're inexpensive, but I expect a brand new car to hold up better than this one has at 21,000 miles.

Imo, I don't think the door panel rattle is that big of a deal. Maybe setting the bass and treble to the max setting isn't the best idea for this car because, from my experience, I only notice that my doors rattle if I blast my music with bass and treble on level 4-5. So, I would only assume that almost all cars around the price of a scion TC would have something rattle if someone were to blast music with the settings up all crazy and that this isn't a big problem to worry about.

Just for a quick reference:
Sunroof rattle, worked on, never fixed.
Hood loose and rattling, worked on, fixed.
Air box loose, worked on, fixed.
Windows jump and wiggle on the way down, rattle over bumps, not fixed.
Alpine with no bass, replaced.
Driver's door window switch replaced 3 times, passenger's 2 times.
Entire door panel replaced.
Passenger's door lock quit working, replaced.
Mine does that too, even in 6th... I feel like our trannies are geared weirdly. It's called overdrive on most cars.
Pretty sure they went with like 3 coats of paint on our car. My hood has like many paint chips now to the frickin primer. Sad day.
