Can you pass CA visual check with modified Catback
I live in California and I am planning on modifying a Greddy Revolution R2 catback in this way: to remove the OEM secondary cat from the mid-pipe and transfer it to the Greddy mid-pipe.
Has anybody ever done this? Will it pass the visual for the Smog check?

For you Californians, I asked my Smog guy, welding the OEM cat into the Cat back would get me a Smog fail on the visual, because there would be no way he could CONFIRM it was OEM, but if a get a secondary cat with the proper EO and weld that into the Cat Back, he would pass me. some of you may think: what the F is the point of a Cat Back if you're going to put a Cat in there...Minor sound improvement and appearance. The proper approved Cat is from Walker, Part #84200 EO # D-182-72.
