Default Disconnect Battery after TRD Intake Install?

I got the TRD intake and exhaust installed by my dealer and I was wondering if I need to disconnect my battery to reset the ECU. I've heard of people doing this but is it necessary? I don't think the dealer disconnected my battery because my trips on the odometer were still at the same mileage and so was the mpg (shouldn't these be reset?) Also don't people have problems after disconnecting the battery such as idling problem and windows (windows seem to be an easy fix)

This won't be necessary with the TRD intake since it doesn't provide a change in airflow nearly as dramatic as a third party intake. People only need to disconnect the battery if they find themselves with a check engine light after the install.

I had to disconnect my battery after my CAI install and also my Dezod header install because I had a CEL both times. Even had to do it once I reinstalled my stock intake.

No problems with idling or windows...

It is good practice to do it anyway. I do it whenever I change something in the car engine side. Never had "issues" with idle or windows after disconnecting a battery. the idle can be different at first because the ECU is using base fuel maps, it will go back to normal pretty quick.

No need. I installed the TRD intake myself on my 14 TC. The first step in the install manual is to disconnect the neg battery terminal so the entire install is done with the battery terminal disconnected. I'm 99% certain the dealership followed the same instruction per the manual.
