Oh and VVTinme, I don't believe you.
Yeah, you got me, I'm lying.

I'm pretty sure I found the procedure in the owner's manual but I can't say for sure since I don't own my tC anymore. Depending on whether the car is a manual or an automatic you can set it to either lock the doors at 12? MPH or when the shifter is moved to park. For unlocking there are similar options but I don't recall exactly; I only know how mine was set.

By the way, the procedure BlackKnight posted resets the maintenance required light. I'm not sure how that's relevant here...

Yea thats about the price for a engine code check. It seems as though anytime they hook up to the OBD Port they have the right to charge.
I don't believe these people. I'm sorry, maybe another dealership next time your out of town.

Just to clarify I paid $0 and they didn't ask any questions. I came in with copies of the manual with the areas I wanted highlighted and circled. I meant business.
P.S. I bought the car from a dealership a town away and they still didn't care. They said they will even do my 2 years worth of maintenance, which is great since they are 5 minutes from my house.

Am I crazy, or is this one unnecessary? My car unlocks all doors as soon as you place it in park. It also locks them when you shift it out of park. Hmmm...as I'm typing this, I just answered my own question. Auto owners don't need this...manual owners do. Check. Got it.

This forum is true. I just took my tc to my buddy that's a tech at Toyota and he just hopped in and hooked up the laptop thing. We went through all the options. Pretty neat, but I wish there was an option to disable the need to push the close button twice on the sunroof, and auto locking doors while driving.

Sorry, should've explained more clearly. I wish there was an option to disable the need to press the close button twice while closing the sunroof, and also wish there was another option to ENABLE auto locking while driving. (ie, get to 24km/hr and all doors lock).

I carefully thought out each option.
I like the autolock incase I stop at a red light and there is some psyco homeless guy that decides he wants my car or money. I'd hate to shoot the guy.
