Help, trying to find a part.
Called the dealership and they can't find just the part I want for my car, they only see it packaged with an entire bundle, ie. Fog light kit, it comes with fogs, wires, and button to activate them on dash.
I just want a button for the dash, I'd rather it not have the fog symbol on it, i've seen a few different ones on this site, one for alarms, fogs, etc. I am going to be installing a back up camera, and I want to wire it to a push button beside my fogs so I can turn it on and off so everytime I reverse it wont kick on.
However, dealership can't find the little button part number in their system for me to order. ): I dont care what symbol is on it, I just want a button so I can wire it up to the stock location on dash lol.

You could just use a small rocker switch and mount it in the black slot next to the foglight switch. You can use a hole saw to make the initial hole and then a dremel to smooth the edges.
For wiring, you could wire the power of the camera to the switch. That way when the switch is flipped, the power to the camera is cut off.
Rocker switches are only a couple bucks on eBay or Oznium

Your going to find that Scion/Toyota is like that. I did the same thing for my tail lights, I tried to order just the pigtail and they said it was the whole tail light assembly! Good news is it wasnt that much, but still would have been a lot cheaper for just a socket. Just use the oem dummy ones, and drill holes in them, or measure the hole and find one that fits or is close to it, and either shave it down to fit or use some kind of filler to make it snug.
