Impatient!!
In that case...did u consider making it easier on the dealership by asking for a cement tC2 with no options? and then just buy them later on (maybe cheaper) from places like TRDSparks.com. then install it later.
that way the dealership can just look for any manual cement tC2 near by
the only exception might be the TRD rims...if u have the space just get stock and order the rims later. that way u have 2 sets. if u get the car with TRD rims at the dealership, i dont think they give u the stock rims. in either case u pay (about) same price for the TRD rims.
...could be wrong, so can anyone else chime in?

They did have a manual on the lot which I test drove. Not a fan of the silver though. I've been checking local inventories for months and that was the first manual I've seen in quite some time.
The only things I'm having the dealer do is a spoiler and the rims. I am getting the stock rims back. One set for summer, stock for winter. I got to pick out some summer tires instead of the all-seasons, so it is actually coming out a bit cheaper than the $2200. The rest of the upgrades I'll be doing myself. There's something about drilling holes in a brand new car that just makes me cringe. I'll let the dealership handle that. Supposedly it's coming in today or tomorrow. I'll make bets it's not ready until at least Monday.

Oh, and idk if you like the plate relocation but if you do, tell the dealer to not drill holes, otherwise you'll have to plug them. Good luck! Imo, it was better to wait for the manual than pick up one of the many autofails on the lot.
I was reading his post and was about to say the same thing. My dealer drilled holes in mine and I was ____ed. I'm even more ____ed now that I have to take it to a body shop to get them filled properly.
I agree with the front plate. I'll ask them not to mount it. Then it will be my decision.
As far as the Toyo tires that come with the TRD "package" go, the Proxes 4 that is recommended is a ultra High performance all-season tire. I wanted summer tires. While it is true that I could probably get aftermarket rims/tires for cheaper I did it for a few reasons.
1. They are lighter than the stock 18s.
2. I can add the price to my car payment.
3. I really like they way they look.

So the salesman called me on Saturday to tell me my car would "definitely be on the lot by 5 o'clock", and that I should come to take a look at it before they added on my accessories. He told me that because it was arriving later than they expected that they wouldn't be able to finish putting everything on the car, but that I would definitely get it on Monday. I drove down to the dealership at about 7, after they had closed and I couldn't find my car anywhere. I even peeked through the shop windows to see if it was in there. Nope. Not on the lot, in the shop, or in the show room.
I returned yesterday to talk to the salesman. He walked me outside to look at the car... and COULDN'T FIND IT. The stupid salesman had no idea that it was never even delivered. He made me come down to the dealership to tell me that they still don't have it. He gave me an estimated delivery date of 4/30 to 5/3. This is the same thing he's told me the last two weeks. I'm calling the sales manager today and giving him a piece of my mind. I'm sick of being jerked around.

I waited 2 months for my dark grey TC and I really wanted a Nautical blue. I had to compromise because for some reason the there were barely any 2011 manuals in the bay area at the time. All I would see is a silver or a black trickle in every now and then. the day I bout my TC, 3 came in the lot, a cement, white and a dark grey one. I got mad and just decided to get it right then and there and I had my GF pick the color :?. Figure one of these days Ill just paint it blue lol. I dont know what it is but the manuals are really hard to find for the TC2's. The camry's are harder to find though. Maybe they are doing it to keep the resale up because I dont know why else they would do it. Good luck man....Hope you get the color you want
...dont give up!

sorry for going off topic, but i learned something the hardway when i bought my tc.
My plan was to buy the tc completely stock and start adding stuff along the way. but in my dealers case (don't know if this is standard practice), it would be ALOT cheaper to buy the premium headunit if it came with the car versus adding the same headunit at a later time. This is because the discounted price includes reselling the standard headunit back to the dealership/company, while buying it later means i would pay full price for the premium headunit. I learned that after the car is sold, the standard head unit is considered used and cannot be resold.
if i had chose to update the headunit the moment i bought the car, i would get the pure price, but since i chose to keep the original headunit and upgrade it later, i have to pay an insane price tag if i wanted their premium headunit. now i keep saying premium head unit because i dont know what the touch screen GPS head unit is called.
In short, if you want the upgraded headunits seen in the catalog, you have to choose that option the moment you buy the car or else you have to play alot more later on. needless to say, in this scenario, you can't keep the original headunit because the price is contingent on selling it back.

Talked to the sales manager. At first I think he thought I was complaining over nothing but as I explained it more to him I think he gets it. Delivery is slated for Thursday at the latest now. He said he would "do something for me" to make up for all of the stupidity. Who knows what that means. All I know is I'm going to the dealership on Thursday at the latest. I'll either be picking up my car or the $500 down payment I gave them.
If they can't get me my car on the 6th delivery day they've given me, I'll go to another nearby dealership and give them my business. After all I know that there is a car exactly like what I want on the way to the area.

Update!!! Car showed at the dealership yesterday. Taking delivery this afternoon. I saw it up on the lift while they were mounting tires and I do have to say it's going to look awesome.
