Interior engine/road noise
Anyone notice the new tC being overly loud in the interior. I have taken one on a quick test drive and noticed it to be a little louder than my 05, but I have read some reviews that consistently bash the 2011 for being extremely loud inside.

I think the road noise isn't bad, but once you get on the highway and are doing 75+, it gets pretty loud but I usually drive around with the stereo on so it's not very noticeable. I will say that though if I leave it at normal hearing volume while doing city driving, I always have to turn the volume up once I get onto the highway. Also, one thing I have yet to fix is the panel covering the window controls on the driver's side rattles if you put the bass on too high.
I have owned a 07 tC and the 11 is much quieter inside in my opinion. The exhaust is a tad bit louder then the 07, but as stated above I always have my radio on and I kind of like a little bit of growl to the exhaust. It is much quieter than the 09 Matrix XRS I traded in.
I test drove the tc too and i agree. i did find the exhaust noise is a bit too loud inside the car and it was a lot louder when you're sitting on the back seat. I'm really considering buying this car. Over all i like the look and feel of the car. I'm a newbie when it comes to the tuning scene so if i do get this car i would probably keep it mostly stock. Maybe get it lowered, rims and five axis body kit.
With the TRD exhaust system i'm assuming the interior noise from the exhaust would be much louder compare to the stock exhaust. Question to the tuner pros...."Anyway to dampen the noise coming from the exhaust into the interior?" I understand its a hatch and its not like a regular sedan or coupe where you have the actual trunk above the exhaust.
