One quick question, if anyone who has done their 5k/10k services....

I live an hour and half away from my toyota dealership... would they allow me to get this service done at a local shop if I give them specific directions and the checklist in my manual? Think they would reimburse me?
I am at 5004 miles right now... but my work schedule is crazy and I will have a very hard time getting in some time to go down there to get the service... going to call them in the next couple days to figure this out.

The filter they know fiine, im just saying, if you want the exact same oil used from the factory, you have to get them to order it by name. I called in advance to ask if they had the same oil, and they said yes, so I get there and ask to see the bottle, and its plain old toyota brand synthetic. They dident know there was a different type from the factory, and they certainly dident stock that oil. When I called, I should have said" do you have Nipon Eneos 0W-20?" Would have saved me a headache.

I thought it was just full synthetic Amsoil 0W-20?

Anyone try Royal Purple or Redline Oil?

if you look at the oil cap on the engine, if it says "0w-20" it is synthetic. if it says "5w-30 and 0w-20" its regular oil
