@competing with the tC2...
right the two cars are in different categories
but as far as withing Scion...the tC and the xB are the highest sellers/modders...the FR-S is anticipated to blow that all away and be the "top scion"
@FR-S Competition...
its between the Genesis and the Civic as stated...the Civic (Honda) has status just like Scion while Hyundai does not.....HOWEVER the Genesis actually gives u the most bang for your buck...the problem...its a Hyundai. oh well
@TRD...
i'm sure this car...and any car....modded will look nice. thats why i want to see what it looks stock...its a difference maker. compared to the concept that has be advertised all over the place...i feel disappointed. the stock FR-S looks like the tC1 in that it doesnt have the aggressive lines. the body shape is very bubbly...something i'm very happy with the tC2 vs the tC1. u'd think scion would learn...well at least this one would have 2 reverse lights

Here's a article that was just put up on Car and Driver. Talks a little bit about the relationship between Toyota and Subaru during the project. And more specs on the car.

they ALSO refer to the toyota version as a CELICA....
24K for a car with no guts?! No thanks. Plenty of other quality cars out there in the 300 h.p. range for 24k. It's a nice design, it needs 2 more cylinders and a turbo option.
2011 tC, $18,9xx? Most folks with any options couldn't get out the door under 20k or higher with a decent radio... sooo 24k, add any options, 25 or 26k or more? Just saying you are getting near the 30k range with options, which seems high for even 13lb/hp unless you are buying this only to race and pure numbers are your goal. ...and if that's true, to bad the stripped down version may not be sold here with no A/C etc letting you shed another 100lbs. At least they are using the AISIN transmissions.
...and as an aside, 197hp at the crank? Estimate at the wheels?
I don't know if this link will work..
