so MINOR update... (this isnt the update in the current thread title, just a coincidence that I have more than one update)
JP usa co ltd vizage, just updated me on the status of their aero kit (body kit/lip kit, whatever u want to call it). they are almost done with the designing, all they need to do now is the measurements. their only obstacle now is finding the most cost effective way to get it done. i will update as soon as they update me more

Engine Update 3-17-12 - AEM ByPass Valve Install
I woke up this morning from CRAZY hard rain and thought...damn I need to install that bypass valve.
So I got all my stuff to measure and cut the cold air intake to make everything fit.
...I made 3 cuts because I had to shorten it by 4 1/2 cm and didn't want to put it all on one side. The 3rd cut, to shorten it by height so it clears the strut bar.
Clean install with added safety
That clearance makes me feel a lot better

I second that! ^^ The takeda had it's period on me every time it rained, and it was dangerously lose to rubbing on my strut bar. But great job! If my AEM intake starts freaking out when it rains then I might consider doing this

But yea I see no negatives in cutting it where at the pipe that goes to the throttle body. Makes everything fit better. Also that basicness of the descendant makes me more comfortable cutting it. Takeda and aem look a lot more fancy, but as long as u measure it straight all the way around...a small steal handsaw and some elbow grease is all you will need to get it done in no time

Naaah cutting it for the strut because I DO go raw. I wouldn't mind seeing that CUSCO under my hood.
Oh well ill just have to wait for Eibach to finally release theirs. Doesn't look like CUSCO is going to...
