Dev, thats true, but the clips on the rear bumper at least are easy to pop in and out

the side skirts are basically impossible to save

not sure about the front...but by how many times Yuriy has done it. i'm sure its not too bad

The quick release latches might be a good idea just for easy access rather than taking the bolts off. He might have those removed. Just my theory on that. But, then again who knows other than the owner(s)?

I kind of like that idea, rather than unbolting my bumpers, just pull the latch and it's off. Especially since my front bumper is too low to get up a lift, or get up a ramp to get a jack underneath it.

^^agreed, its just that from what i could see on the car...it seems like it was there more for looks (a pet peeve of mine, like roof racks for looks)

the bolts are located at the top of the bumper (way above where those clips were installed), they are also EASILY accessible and quick to remove...after that its just clips you can pull without a problem. i would assume that removing the bolts and having the clips only would not be enough support since they hold the bumper in two very different areas

the front on the other hand, i completely agree with you. there are so many reasons on why it would be there (more stuff to access in the front, FAR more clips/bolts to get two and are not always the easiest to get to) and be completely functional in a useful way.

so this is a _____...still no car, but at least a more solid update i suppose.

without disclosing too much information....

the said company has been doing their best to make the best "something" and as soon as possible without hurting quality....the said company had outsourced the first step of the entire process to another shop, which was doing good at first, but their work keep needed revisions, until the point that they just weren't working out to make the best possible "something" for the car. so that was the bad news, but the good news is while that other shop didn't quite finish their job...the car has already moved on to another shop, which is the one that is suppose to do step 2 of the process. so they will finish up the remaining work on step 1 and then continue onto the final step 2.

i might be able to update you all on an estimated date on when to expect the final product of this mystery project sometime next week

Would removing the rear bumper give you access to the rear suspension? For instance, adjusting ride height on coilovers?

i highly doubt it. i can reach the adjustment on my rears just fine without removing the bumper (or the wheel). of course no bumper would make it easier to get to that area, but unless ur super slammed (which that car isn't) its not that difficult.

Default SOCAL tC2 OWNERS Aug 3 Meet

I am still hashing out all the details, but I am working on trying to organize a get together for tC2 owners only!

As of right now....It will be on August 3 in Anaheim, CA at approx 8:00PM

All this because Yuriy, aka Scion202 is here in the SoCal

it will be a tC2FTW x ScionEdge x KidJustin Studios event LOL coverage will for sure be up on my site.

So stay tuned for any updates, but feel free to start spreading the word! FB event to be posted in the next few days

(also, this is the day before Spocom in Anaheim)

[QUOTE=KidJustin;3864763]One of the staple MODs around, the changing from the stock HU to an aftermarket HU. One of the first MODs I did on my past car so once I got all the parts I needed, I got to work

eBay items purchased for the install:
Wire Harness: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_W0QQ...8Q26Q5ffviQ3d1
Dash Kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=243414932519
Axxess Metra ASWC OEM Steering Wheel Control Adapter: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/160560647261?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fmotors.shop.ebay.com%3A80%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm570.l2736%26_nkw%3D160560647261%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1Video Brake By-Pass: http://cgi.ebay.com/_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_rdcZ1QQitemZ180618775382QQruZhttpQ3aQ2fQ2fmotorsQ2eshopQ2eebayQ2ecomQ3a80Q2fiQ2ehtmlQ3fQ5ffromQ3dR40Q26Q5ftrksidQ3dm570Q2el2736Q26Q5fnkwQ3d180618775382Q26Q5ffviQ3d1
Modifications that needed to be made:
To keep the stock USB input working I cut the USB cable that came with the Pioneer and then cut the stock USB cable, then spliced them together. AUX/Headphone no longer works, but who needs it?
To make the dash install nice and flush, I had to cut and sand the dash kit...

the red lines are where i cut so that it wouldn't get in the way of the stock bracket
and the red box...(not shown in picture) there was strip of plastic sticking out...i shaved it with sand paper to make it flat like the eBay picture

Axxess ASWC vehicle application guide (for the tC2)
http://contentdocs.installernet.com/...icle/10957.pdf

Quick question on the harness. There's 2 harness that are in the box I got at Best Buy. Did you use both of them? Or only 1? If you did use both of them, did you connect/splice all of them on the pioneer HU? I have the pioneer 3400.

It's been a while, but I believe the stock HU has two plugs, which is y there are two harnesses. Have u taken out the stock unit before? U'll see it once u do IF I am remembering correctly

From there the wires from the two harnesses should match up more or less by color with the harness that came with the pioneer. Just double check it with the owners manual before hooking them all up.
