Default My AGT20 (2012 tC- Black)

Whats up ScionLife, I'm the new kid on the block when it comes to Scions, but as far as old school Toyotas and the Honda scene goes- i hold my own. From the cramped island of Oahu, Hawaii; i was raised by a Toyota- loving father, then fell in love with a Honda Civic (1996 EX Coupe). After getting deep into the Honda scene, my hard work and money went to waste; as a kid reversed into my pride in a parking lot, eventually salvaging the car.. from then i purchased another Civic (1998 HX Coupe), and refused to modify it, however i spent some time/money maintaining it.

Then all of a sudden, the tuner bug bit me again. Decided that i wanted a new platform. So why not a Scion tC? i guess the things imma do to my car is what i've picked up from the TRUE Honda camp, and fitting them into this new age Scion Life. Here we go..

In advance i want to appreciate the hospitality of the ScionLife community.. Honda-Tech is a very unwelcoming forum, as almost any thread gets flamed.. i also apologize for the low-quality pics.. a camera will be put into my budget in the near future. Mahalos for looking!

hey we're almost the same... my dad has a 69 corona mark II back in philippines, and he doesnt like hondas. so i grew up to be like him, loving the toyota and hating the hondas. but, my first car was a 93 civic dx.but i didnt modify it bacause it's already lowered and and wheels. and short shifter. but then, i love toyota/scion. so i bought a 2011 scion tC. so yeah. heehehee

nice toyota btw, what is it?

and welcome to the family...

Wow- i thought i was the only one raised with conflicts of interest within the family lol.

Thats my dad's '74 Corolla SR5. The blue AE86 in the back of my first civic picture was my first car to drive, along with a 1987 Toyota Pickup Turbo EFI. lol kinda makes you wonder why i joined the Honda camp.

Yea i can't wait. i actually joined this forum before my car came in- why not get a head start? so i did a ton of research for 3 weeks on what performance parts should be worth my time. i was originally set on BC racing and Greddy Type S coilovers, but BC's are still in production, and Greddy hasn't even started yet. So i looked upon whats available now, and only the STD R3's have the features and spring rates i wanted (10kg Front, 8kg Rear).

Friends think I'm crazy for starting so early with aftermarket products- i told them i was on the sidelines for 2 years seeing everyone else build something- its MY turn. And also, my Scion dealer mentioned that they would not install the TRD springs for me when i'd pick up the car; they'd only give me the product uninstalled for me to do the labor (never made sense to me), so this buy was a must as the factory height is EMBARRASSING.

I got custom spring rates on mine 10kg F and 10kg R because of the +20 and 9.75 wide offset i have on my rims well in the rear. I cant believe the dealer wouldnt install the springs crazy.

Welcome to the Scion camp, coilovers is def a good start, will be watching to see where this goes. Also clean Corolla, all Toyota here also. My dad has a '82 Corolla SR-5 and '92 Corolla, the '89 Celica GT-S is pretty much a shared project(sort of) car between us.

Nice to hear about other Toyota families.

In our garage today we have (Toyotas Only):
2012 Scion tC (Mines)
2007 Tundra
2005 xB
1986 Corolla
1974 Corolla

In the past:
(3) '81-'82 Starlets
(1) 1984 Supra
(1) 1987 Pickup XtraCab Turbo EFI
(3) '71-'74 Corollas
and many more pre-'84 corollas used for parts.

Like i said, i was raised by Old School Toyotas (Dual Carb'ed FTMFW). Nice knowing that i have friends who are born into the brand also!

Can't wait! And please review because a lot of people are unsure about these coilovers. What made you choose them anyway?
