Gonna get news from the dealer tomorrow if they can sell me the FIVE:AD front lip spoiler. Called/emailed saturday and said they only have it listed as a whole kit, but the guys at FIVE:AD said it is possible to get individual pieces, and the guy from the dealer i talked to agreed also, but has to follow up on monday when the parts warehouse is open to get the individual part number or something. *Fingers Crossed*

I was quoted $400 for the lip from TRDsparks with $300 for shipping. Hope i don't have to go that route. I really want that lip, the front-end is way too plain IMO, and thats the only lip that I'm interested in (the RS 7.0 is too subtle, i need something aggressive after seeing the Gruppe-S tC).

 

i may have come after you, it was around 4pm and my tC was the only one in the staging/pick-up area.

i felt the same way after seeing pics/videos of those with the TRD springs, and after finding out that the dealer wouldn't install them for me. No way i wanted to ride that 4x4 height for longer than a week. lol.

 

its been a while..

the stiff ride of my STD R3's (10k/8k) were too much too handle on our uneven roads in HI, so i contacted stdsuspension, and got some 8k/6k springs. loving the ride for daily use now.

stdsuspension has great and understanding customer service. always keeping in touch through emails about product questions.

10k/8k spring rate setup was waaaaay too much for daily.. for me at least.


8k/6k springs are much more comfortable.. i guess you can tell which companies provide true race suspensions since everyone else offers these spring rates or softer on their coilover systems, but STD's come with 10k/8k, although they do offer custom rates.. also i did not revalve the dampers and they do not feel over-damped with the softer springs. running the damping adjustment at level 2 of 12 (soft).


also, another update which i have waited 5 weeks to come in..


Five:AD front lip spoiler! of course i will get it painted. this lip was not mounted, just "snapped" on for a quick teaser/daydream pic. also lowered the car a little more, and removed the mud guards for a more cleaner look. sorry about the phone pics. much better pics after the lip paint/install.

oh and i forgot to mention..

supposedly i got banned for 2 days from scionlife for "attacking" KidJustin in a comment. lol. funny cause i called him a troll on the forum, and i barely log on to begin with. and didn't really find out til after the ban.

so just a warning to everyone else- trolls on forums don't like to be called that, just let them be, and collect the $0.02 they drop on the threads. lol.

No, i was interested in only the front lip after seeing the grippe-s tC, and how it flowed more aggressively in my eyes. It's a great looking full kit, just not the image/style i have in mind for my car.

Honestly- $595 + tax from my scion dealer (only distributor on island).. i was a bit iffy on paying double what the duraflex copy was asking- but i new fitment might not have been as great as the real five:AD lip.

 

I got banned forever for doing nothing but asking about ideas for stickers for a company I work for. I have to use mozilla now because safari has be logged in permanently. Overkill if you ask me. Welcome back from the ban though!
