Yeah, looks like a dust or something that maybe you drove through and it settled, or got a little moist and caked on a bit. I'm sure that's all it is. Or maybe you were sanding something that had red paint on it or spray painting near your car and all the dust/particles settled on your car after falling from being in the air.

 

Maybe your brake calipers? Did you spray paint them or brush them?

 

^Bingo. That is exactly what it is. I completely forgot that you rattled canned your calipers. And you did it three feet from your car that is in the same area, ie your garage. God dammn it dude that was fvcking stupid. Not all that paint is going to come off man... just terrible... Like I said, all those particles fly around in the air and you can't see them. Then then all fall and settle on everything. For instance, wipe down or look closely to something else in your garage. It too will be covered in red paint.

 

If there is a coolant burning smell but the coolant level does not decrease then you can't be burning coolant. Are you sure it smells exactly like burning coolant or just a hot brand new cars engine bay?

 

^Bingo. Man you guys are killing it today. Nice work. New engines and new paint all give that smell of burning off. Very distinct as well, and very prominent early on. And since your car was new, that's probably it. Coolant has its own very very distinct smell. Nothing else like it. Another guy said the same same same exact thing and the car had like two miles on it, and he swore up and down that it was the distinct coolant smell. Once he said that, I didn't even consider the new engine bay/accessories burning off smell assuming he knew the distinct coolant smell. Good call russian.

 

Only thing though is my dad recalls the paint on my car having that rough texture before we did my calipers but either way what would you guys recommend to get it off cause the deglosser is not really best for the health of my paint but it works.

Naw, that's what it is. I don't know how to get paint off of clear coated paint without ruining the whole thing.

Nice thanks man. Think I'm going to do what you did but tape it off the leave the red n white and make the chrome the same silver as the scion badge.
