Default Is this normal?

Hey guys! So I just installed my fog lights today and they work and look perfectly fine, the only problem is that there seems to be this weird gap in both fog lights and I'm not sure why. Did I do something wrong or something? Thank guys!

Mine were the same way when I instaled them. I think it's supossed to be like that. I never looked into it any further.

Ok so I'm glad to here that I'm not the only one lol. Imma take it apart again tomorrow to see if its the lights themselves probably put them on the wrong side. Thanks man, and good luck with your uprising build : )

I've heard its to allow airflow behind the light which if you have a CAI will help a lot.

its a gap because the fog light is glass so when the lights are on it gets super hot its doesn touch the fog light grill plastic so it doesnt burn... my guess...

The gap is there to prevent the plastic from melting and because the fog light are adjustable, you need room for them to move up and down. If they sat flush then adjustment wouldn't happen.
