To me it looks like an xD and a tC had a baby..

- +20hp than the "1st" gen..cool.
- Interior looks like the new matrix...Not diggin that at all.
- 6spd sequential AT..not cool.

How is 6spd sequential AT not cool? Thats a huge improvement from the first gen which featured a 4spd sloth box. And the interior in my opinion is way better than the 1st gen. Well minus the ugly speakers on the door. I can't wait to test drive the tC in a few weeks

I interior looks cheap and plasticy. Not feeling the patterns on the seats.

Thats funny...I didnt know the first gen tC had better interior material

The seats should be the least of your problems. That can always be taken care with some seat covers or aftermarket seats.

I saw the 2011 tC in person on Sunday, and IMO, the body lines look even more awkward in person. I like the interior and the front end, but the lines on the rear quarter panels and trunk look horrible.

Well as an owner of a New Matrix the interior is far nicer looking than that of the new tC, except of course the flat bottom steering wheel that's in the tC, and in no way even comes close to that of a new tC. And how is a 6spd AT considered "not cool"? My Matrix has a 5speed sequential automatic, and compared to a 4speed in the first tC or second gen xB it blows both of them out of the water. The better gearing doesn't have any dead spots like on the Scions, and it's geared slightly more aggressively. It easily pulls harder. So 20 more horsepower plus a 6speed auto for the new tC should really give it some nice grunt for a daily commuter.

As Charles Barkley would put it, "That Cement color is just Turrible. Turrible, Turrible, Turrible." The back end styling doesn't look as bad in any of the colors, except for that Cement.

OMG this thing costs $2,000 more than when tC's first came out.. How do they justify that?
I thought the great thing about the tC was its $16,900 price tag!! Not any more.

in 2008 when I bought my tC the pricetag was $17,600 and thats not including taxes, title, and fees. After a TRD exhaust and TRD springs the final price was something just around $18,000. I dont think 18-19k is a bad price for the car. Go try and price a Kia or Honda out with the exact same features. Good luck beating that price. I feel like people have nothing to complain about! If you don't like it don't buy it!

i bet it does but i dont think i wanna drive an ugly car regardless. Id rather drive a good looking slow car than a fast ugly car. Oh wait thats why i drive a 1st gen tC! LOL
