Doesn't seem unsafe, but they would probably just heat up and melt off and smell like burning rubber...

I cant see it lasting long with all of the heat they generate....then good luck scraping it off and re-painting them.

There are many companies out there that make a caliper paint, I'm sure a high temp paint would work as well. If you don't like it you can still get it off with paint thinner or whatever.

They sell brake caliber paint kits on amazon for like 20 bucks. Just search for duplicolor brake caliper paint kit and code your color

They are rated for high temps too. Only downside is it will eventually chip if you have anyone else rotate your wheels because they are moving fast and probably just don't care. They end of hiring the caliber with the inside of the rim.

That being said I have only redone mine once in the two years I have had them painted and it looks great. Safe in the drove through car washes too.

But don't plasti dip them, use the kit I mentioned

Default Caliper paint

i have a 2014 10 series and paint calipers red - actually bought caliper paint from napa ( auto zone, pep boys) its less than 7 dollars. make sure you clean calipers with hot water and a brush and cover rotors and all ( if u plan to take calipers out you can do that too) . it looks a lot better with caliper paint. hope this helps

I actually know someone who owns a tC2 and dipped his calipers white and they came out fine. He's been riding on them for a while with no problems either.
