Plate being there makes no difference either way. Intake point on a CAI would be in the space behind your VRD fog light, and is pretty much blocked off from the lower grille area anyway.
If that were true, everybody running OEM fogs would be blocking airflow too - since the OEM fogs are located at the ends of the lower grille.

on the second gen on the inside of the bottom grille there is an air divider/directional plate that leads the air behind the fogs and up to the place where the intake would be/stock snorkel is

I was also wondering if you will do your meet up this coming Tuesday?
Vacay week, so I'm hoping to meet some people from the forum.
We are there every Tuesday night, looks like Yuri will be there as well this Tuesday. So we will be running a couple of second gens.
Last night 6 of us were there, my wife even showed up in the xD

Ted, I have a couple of questions that I'm not seeing answers to in this thread.

First, how are your fogs done? Did you get a 3k HID kit for those, or yellow film, or...?

Second, did you buy the warning canceler for your HIDs from HIDExtra? I don't see an explanation of the part on their site, and wasn't sure if the tC needed it.

Fogs are a yellow film, and no the canceler is not necessary. The tC cant recognize when a light is out, and there for has no indicator for it...

How you liking the yellow film over the fogs? Got stock bulbs or aftermarket?
I got some yellow film over my fogs as well... definitely does the trick. Made the stock fog bulbs yellow... made my Nokya Yellow bulbs 'VERY' yellow. haha

I wish I could see my sexy when I drive though. As of now its low and off to the sides... stock settings. Can't see barely any of the fogs.

I like the film, mostly because even with the lights off, the fogs are still yellow. Stock bulbs.

Surprising you cant see the yellow while driving, the whole roads gets light with mine...
