Default ranger024x4's '14 tc monogram

Picked up my 14 monogram a week ago today... I wasnt going to make a build thread but I kinda got carried away with ordered stuff for it lol. Not going to go crazy with the build but its nice to see a progression thread.

The day I test drove it. At this point the salesman was getting tags so I could take it out.. only had 4 miles on it at this point.

at this point I knew I wanted it. Took about a week before I finally pulled the trigger though. Going back and forth with the dealer on trd was a pita as well. Apparently the trd wheels don't come with the tires so all said and done it was going to be around 3k for the trd wheel option. That was a bummer. anyways... delivery day!

stopped for dinner on the way home.

first mod: tint! went 35% on the side windows and 25% on the rear window.

now, for some reason I didnt take any pics after. lol. Also I clay bared and waxed the car over the weekend and didnt take any pics of that either. Not sure what I was thinking. lol.

anyways, yesterday it was install day. Took it back and had 3 out of the 4 accessories installed (fogs, quickshifter, and exhaust). Kinda weird having someone install parts for you. In the past, ive done everything on my own, even motor swaps and turbo kits lol. Afterwords, I installed leds and a 5k morimoto hid kit..

still waiting on the TRD springs. So far its been a huge pita because toyota thinks that it will not work on my tc. not sure why. If I dont get it at least ordered today im going to cancel the order

I've got them on my 14' tC as well. Bought them with the car, the dealership even installed them.

yep thats what I did. After all of the paper work was done and was officially handed over the keys the dealer said something at that point. BS if you ask me but whatever.

Just got a call a little while ago. TRD randomly called the dealership and officially gave my car them the green light to install them. Kinda bittersweet. After looking at pics I think I would have been happier with the sportlines but oh well. I will be ordering the trd wheels at the beginning of june and the trd wheels/springs look good together.

With sport lines you'd likely need a camber kit as well for the rear. That's why I went with trd. Plus I live in Canada so any lower and my car would get destroyed. Also does your 14 have the little engine rattle on startup for a second. Only in cold weather after sitting a while. Jw as mine has had it since day I got it and dealer says it's not even noticeable. Hate dealerships. So many games. Nobody wants to be bothered with warrantee work cuz it doesn't pay anything. Also how much you paying for install on springs. They want like $700 at my dealership. Got the springs for $250 lol. F that do it myself give my buddy a case of beer for the alignment.

OK good. Must be normal then i guess. I'd be happier if dealer said it was normal then them telling me they didn't here it. Bs.

Ya dealers r such bs anything to get out of warrantee work. Used to work for one only time you'll get guys wanting to do any kind of warrantee work is if the shops totally dead for any other work. This is why more shops should start paying by the hour.

You payed 400$ just for the springs? Or is that springs+labour? You can get them online for about 230$ shipped.

Man somebody screwed up or they gave you a deal with the car. I'd take that and run with it. Labor and Alignment is supposed to be $700 or so. Toyota quotes 5.5 hours labor. If you look on scion site adding trd springs costs over $1000 and the springs are only $255+ taxes from dealer. I got mine for $260 with taxes because I get a discount and did it all myself. Alignment cost me $40 from my buddy.

When I built the car (was suppose to order one with trd springs and wheels) it never added any labor costs.

I was going to get the trd wheels but the 2200 dollar price tag did not include tires. I'm actually ordering them in about a month

I dunno where the hell they are trying to rip you off with prices from. TRD springs are $255+ tax from dealer and TRD 19" wheels are around $1100+ tax for the wheels. Charging you $400 for springs and $2200 for wheels is BS. You can go right on scion site and price those things yourself and go into dealer and tear a strip off of them.

Lol you need to research things a bit better. On the scion website it's 399 for springs and 2199 for the trd wheels
