This week during my search on trd intakes, I actually found a site that had the part number breakdowns for the trd intake. So, to save a few bucks, I ordered the trd drop in filter and trd snorkel tube. The filter was $50 and the tube was $40..

Noticeable increase ? Where did u order from. The stock air box actually fits the aftermarket snorkel.

 

It has to, the TRD intake does not replace the bottom part of the box, only the top. The intake tube has to go into the bottom of the airbox or the air would bypass the filter element.

 

Weird. So where did u order the parts from ? Right from dealer ? I don't see any point in ordering the trd for $400+ when you can get this for under $100 and what's the difference ? No trd red stuff on top of the box. Order a trd chrome badge slap it on and exact same thing. So glad you found this lol soon as you let me know where you ordered I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

 

Wonder if we could find the part number for the polished trd pipe that goes from air box to intake and holds the maf sensor. I'd guess it'd be around $100 or less. So your talking exactly the same thing as trd intake for under $200 if that was the case. Only negative is no trd logo. Easy solution order a chrome trd badge off ebay for $2.00 and slap it on the air box. I'm excited. Going to dealer in morn order some stuff up me thinks.

I looked on amazon it said 3-5 week till shipped. I got the dealer looking for one now.

if you just google the part number, there are sites that sell it..

btw, you will need a longer bolt that holds it in place. nothing a quick trip to the hardware store wont fix.

yes you can, just get the item part numbers and then just google part sites that have the part at the cheapest price and just order...a helluva lot cheaper then buying it all at once...

 

all clean.. the only thing that has changed is the s2k antenna

where do you get the white headlamps? I hate how I have yellow headlamps and leds in the front

 

i bought a 5k, 35watt morimoto hid kit from TRS and the leds are just white 194's with 5 leds

 

havent posted up in a few weeks. nothing has really changed other than added a 10" type R
