I'm going with either XXR 530's 19x8.75 +15 in Chromium Black when they come out in January, or some actual Japanese rims. I haven't decided wither their worth it or not to go from $600 to $1600 for the same rims just made way better
It's always worth having a better quality wheel than a cheap one. That's just my .02 cents. I think some Work Miesters 19x9.5 +25 would be nice on your car, since you are going with the wide body

We actually decided to only pull it a little bit wider, not nearly as much as expected. In fact, if you didn't know it was wider you probably wouldn't notice right away haha
It's just bragging rights to say you have an authentic wheel if you aren't heavily modifying your car specifically for racing. The stock wheels are nothing special and you can do a good amount of racing with them. I'd put knockoff wheels in the same class as stock.
Even more to the truth. Lots of cop cars aren't using any special wheels. They are as basic and cheap as it gets. They do heavy cornering and high pursuit chases without problems which are natural all around stress to the wheels. Auto Cross racing would be more stressful than even what cops do. You will find some people AutoX'ing with the stock wheels on the TC2 if that says anything. I personaly owned a car with Rota Slipstream 16" for 9.5 years and did some mild amount of racing with them. Never had any issues at all. My car was stock though.
P.S. I think the Chromium Black 530 would look a hell of a lot better than the tacky gold that's on your 522's. Now if it was real gold plated then that would be a different story since the gold would be authentic, not just the color 'of' gold.

Thanks! I think?
Haha I'm just not a fan of black on black. Everyone and their mother gets black rims for their black car, which is why I went gold! I personally like the gold color, but it's time for something different

Just a little update...
The shop is working super slow on my car, but the work is great so I can't really complain too much!
Update on Fenders - They're finally fitting great! Now just going to try to cut some vents into them!

Right Exhaust outlet has been cut, but not molded yet.
Also, the exhaust y pipe needs to be made to go back to the duals.
(No the zip ties don't stay there, they're just to hold the exhaust up to make measurements)

Nothing too particular. It was like $600 cheaper, I like the look of Descendant's Exhaust manifold more than Dezod's, Descendant has had their turbo out for a while so people have given feedback on it and more bugs have been fixed with it. The 3 kits available pretty much all use the same parts, there's not a huge difference between them. I don't plan on really going over 300 HP, and Descendant's turbo kit gets me there without any issues
That miss coloration on the body looks really nice. I'd try to maintain something like that if I was you because a clean paint job doesn't suit well with a rice theme.
I wouldn't bother changing the wheels or springs to the XXR 530. Just paint the ones you have dark silver or flat black. You also need to dull out the shine on the coffee can muffler exhaust. It stands out too much and doesn't suit the theme of the car at all.
Here is some advice on the turbo kit for this econobox..... get a real sports car.

Quote from KidJustin's thread
I was never a fan of front lips. They just look like you did nothing more than add a piece of plastic to your front bumper since that's really all it is.
For show, I'd rather invest in an entirely whole new front bumper like duraflex...

If you are going to go all out and spend alot of money on mods then at least you could make things flow a bit more naturally with a 1 piece bumper.
